Our York Road service provides emergency accommodation on a short
term basis. People wanting to approach us for emergency accommodation
can do so at either centre. Our guests are also referred to us from
a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies. These include local
Councils, the Police, Probation and Social Services, Hospitals,
Citizens Advice Bureau and the Salvation Army.
We can accommodate 14 people in 8 rooms and guests can stay for
up to 7 nights. As well as a bed, we provide hot evening meals,
tea and coffee-making facilities, showers and breakfast. Toiletries
are available on request. On Saturdays and Sundays we now open at
2.00 pm for our current guests. This is a positive step towards
HARPs' objective of offering it's services 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week.
HARP offers a range of other services aimed at tackling a variety
of issues often associated with homelessness. These include a Needle
Exchange facility, Ear Acupuncture for addiction and a Women's Health
& Advice Clinic.
If you feel HARP can help you with any homeless issues you have,
please contact us. Telephone numbers are listed below.
