200 Club
What is the “200 Club”?
The “200 Club"
operates in a very similar way to the Big Lottery except that we
guarantee that 50% of the monies paid in are given to HARP and 50%
is returned in prizes to the participants. The number 200 is a
target rather than a maximum number. If we manage to reach the
“magic" number then we can consider whether to start another club or
increase the maximum number of participants.
A subscriber elects
to pay £5 a month by way of a Standing Order to the “200 Club" Bank
Account and a number is allocated and advised to them by the “200
Club" Treasurer. Once a quarter at a HARP Trustees Meeting a draw
will take place and cheques issued to the winning participants.
Members may withdraw from the “200 Club" at any time by cancelling
their Standing Order.
Participants pay in
£5 per month, which is £60 per year. Thus 50 participants would pay
in a total of £3,000. HARP would receive a total of £1,500 over the
year and 4 quarterly draws would pay out £375 in prizes. 100
participants would obviously double these figures. The good news is
that even if you are a winner in one quarter you will still be
eligible for future draws provided that your subscription is up to
date.
This is a fairly
painless way, for the donors, of making a relatively substantial
donation to the work of HARP. Please tell all your friends and let’s
see if we can reach the 200 mark.
