200 Club

What is the “200 Club”?

The “200 Club" operates in a very similar way to the Big Lottery except that we guarantee that 50% of the monies paid in are given to HARP and 50% is returned in prizes to the participants. The number 200 is a target rather than a maximum number. If we manage to reach the “magic" number then we can consider whether to start another club or increase the maximum number of participants.

A subscriber elects to pay £5 a month by way of a Standing Order to the “200 Club" Bank Account and a number is allocated and advised to them by the “200 Club" Treasurer. Once a quarter at a HARP Trustees Meeting a draw will take place and cheques issued to the winning participants. Members may withdraw from the “200 Club" at any time by cancelling their Standing Order.

Participants pay in £5 per month, which is £60 per year. Thus 50 participants would pay in a total of £3,000. HARP would receive a total of £1,500 over the year and 4 quarterly draws would pay out £375 in prizes. 100 participants would obviously double these figures. The good news is that even if you are a winner in one quarter you will still be eligible for future draws provided that your subscription is up to date.

This is a fairly painless way, for the donors, of making a relatively substantial donation to the work of HARP. Please tell all your friends and let’s see if we can reach the 200 mark.

Summer Ball

This will be held on 16^th July 2010 at the Park View Suite at Chalkwell Park and the ticket price will be £35. The price will include a 3 course dinner and entertainment through the evening by Heartbeat, a Buddy Holly tribute band. There will also be 2 bottles of wine and some soft drinks included on each table of 10.

There will be a raffle, photo opportunities and a game or two.

The aim of the evening is to not only have a good time but also to raise money for HARP. It is understood that a good amount of interest has already been shown from people in agencies who support HARP so if you and / or your friends want to come along, please contact Clive on 01702 615000 or e-mail clive@harpsouthend.co.uk with the details and numbers as soon as you can.

Please indicate your menu choice (either option A or B below) when ordering your tickets. The tickets will be issued when the payment has been received.

We have a limited amount of space and the maximum number of guests for the evening is 90.
